Recovery is beautiful and The Most High God is grand. As I sit thinking of nothing but His love and kindness towards me I have an urge to light a scented candle to mingle with my soothing music. A mind and body brand called stillness and purity, how fitting. As I reach for my lighter with no flashbacks and light my candle. I hear a snap, crackle and pop and the light begins to shine forth as it does in my heart. The alluring smell of the well placed candle causes immediate calmness and sweet thoughts. The sound of snap, crackle and pop today is the exact opposite of what it once was, for long gone are the days when that sound meant I would be up all night and miserable in all my thoughts and doings. Now I can rejoice in that familiar sound as I am only triggered to contemplate on all of the blessings of recovery and healing.
